RevolutionSF Film Awards 2001
© Joe Crowe, Shane Ivey, Jason Myers

Introducing your hosts: RevolutionSF's own Joe Crowe and Shane Ivey!

The voting was all over the place, but it seems like everyone who voted in the Revvie Awards can agree on one thing: The Fellowship of the Ring was pretty dadgum cool. It walked away with 16 Revvie awards.

The only other movie to come close was Planet of the Apes with 5. But I don't think Tim Burton and company are really going to want to put the awards it won on the mantle.

The Revvies were not decided by any elite group. The nominations came from you, the readers of RevolutionSF, and the final winners were decided by you as well. This is your community. These are your awards. And Hollywood, if I can quote the great sage, Conan: f you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

The Categories

Thanks to all the Revolutionaries who participated in the 2001 Revvie Awards! We may not make a difference, but we can try to make people laugh.

Goodnight!

Joe Crowe is humor editor for RevolutionSF, and Jason Myers is film/DVD editor, and Shane Ivey is... um... not.
