The Best-Selling Comic Of The Year ?

So what's the highest selling comic book of 2005? Batman & Robin All Stars maybe? How about Countdown to Infinite Crisis? Maybe a House of M title?

Amazing as it may seem to a U.S.-centric view of the comics world, the best selling comic of the year doesn't feature men in long underwear.

October 14th will see the release of the latest Asterix album, The Falling Sky, from Belgium creator Uderzo. A staggering 8 million copies are already in print waiting for the on-sale date. TATTOO trade collection (collecting #70-72, 74-76) there will be two more trades, making a total of 19.

Just A Bat-Thought

There are plans for a new Batwoman ongoing series from DC. In the pages of Birds of Prey, Barbara Gordon, the original Batgirl who was crippled by the Joker, has recently regained movement in her toes. So will she soon be back to full mobility and running around in costume?

Next Batman Movie Titles

P> Possible titles that are under consideration for the next Batman movie include Batman Strikes, Batman Attacks and Batman: Escalation.

During a recent press junket Kirsten Dunst, best known as Mary Jane Watson, let slip that the villains in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 will be Venom (Topher Grace) and Sandman (Thomas Haden Church).

Both Stan Lee and Chris Claremont will be making cameo appearances in the upcoming X-Men 3 movie.

Mark Hamill Is Trickster Again

After a 14-year gap, Mark Hamill will revisit the role of The Trickster, which he played on the 1991 CBS Flash live-action series, when he voices the character for an upcoming episode of Justice League Unlimited.
