George Lucas in an interview was asked about writing Star Wars Episode II. Does he like it?

And I quote: "No, definitely not. I'm in the middle of it but I wish I were finished." I love this guy. He helps me so much by giving me things to write about that he actually says.

What I do not get is that he has known about this story for at least sixteen years. How has he not written it yet?

It's like when your teacher tells you about this big test, but it's not going to happen for a few months.

So you don't bother doing anything about it until the week before.

In other words, expect the Star Wars Episode II script to be the result of late-night cramming.
