Perhaps you have wondered, "Who are these wonderful folk who purvey their RevolutionSF entertainment upon me?" Wonder no more, our revolutionary friends. Wonder no more.

Mark Finn, contributing editor

1. Why are you so awesome?

I live in a loft above a fifties-style movie theater.. And we're about to start selling comics and toys to the kids after they exit from the big summer movie du-jour. I'm LORD of the GEEKS in North Texas. Not Austin, not the Hill Country. I'm talking ALL of NORTH TEXAS. My Geek-God status has gone regional.

2. Why is RevolutionSF so awesome?

It's not the timely news, nor the timely reviews, nor the interesting commentary and the spirited give-and-take amongst the staffers. It's the humor with which it's all served up. It's nice to talk geek politics and leaven it with a healthy sense of skewed humor.

3. Green Lantern or Thor?

Dammit. My first thought was Thor for purely visual reasons, but the more I started thinking about the GL Corps . . . well, see, here's my problem with the GL Corps. They have NEVER been written as cops, space sheriffs, or even (God Help Me) as Texas Rangers. For you non-Texans, that's like Jedi Knights in the Days of the Old Republic.

"There's an uprising on Epsilon XIV! The population is out of control!"

*Flash!* Down comes Green Lantern Tomar-Re!

"But, we don't understand!" says the Prime Minister. "The Guardians only sent one Green Lantern?"

"Well," says Tomar-Re, "There's only one uprising, isn't there?"

That's how I would do the GL Corps. So, reluctantly, Green Lantern.

4. Favorite law of robotics:

The one that basically reduces all British-talking androids to the category of metrosexual. Yes, Threepio, I'm looking right at you.

5. Favorite monkey:

Literally? The Probiscus monkey. Hah-cha-cha-cha-cha! Figuratively? KONG!

6. Favorite Billy Idol song:

"White Wedding."

7. Plug Something (by you or someone you love):

There are still Robert E. Howard fans out there who have not read "Blood and Thunder: The Life and Art of Robert E. Howard" and I would challenge them to go read it and learn some new things about their favorite author.

Dave Farnell, RevSF boards producer

1. Why are you so awesome?

I'm not awesome. I'm super. But I respect the awesome. They're not super, but hey, they're awesome, and that's just super.

Oh, and I've also conducted over 1,000 wedding ceremonies. I was a nude model back in college, and I'm a 40-year-old grandpa. I also have the power to edit your posts on the RevSF message boards and make you say silly things. But I never use that power, which makes me awesome. I mean super.

2. Why is RevolutionSF so awesome?

Good news, great fiction, and snarky parodies that keep fanboys in conniptions for years. "But, the Lord of the Rings is already a book! You can't have a novelization of the movie!!!"

3. Green Lantern or Thor?

Er, the Tick? Yeah, I gotta vote third-party on this one. If only Reid Fleming, World's Toughest Milkman had agreed to run!

4. Favorite law of robotics:

Thou shalt speak only in deedle-boop nonsense, even though giving you the ability to speak like a human would have been cheap compared to all the other stuff you can do.

5. Favorite monkey:

Chim-chim, all grown up and back for for his bad-ass revenge!

6. Favorite Billy Idol song:

""Dancing With Myself"" because shooting zombies off skyscrapers with bolts of lightning is where it's at, man.

7. Plug Something (by you or someone you love):

My friend Ed Lipsett is one of the founders of Kurodahan Press, a small-press firm here in Fukuoka, Japan, which translates and publishes Asian weird fiction in English. Good, high-quality POD books for reasonable prices, with stories by authors you probably never would've heard of otherwise.

Peggy Hailey, books editor

1. Why are you so awesome?

Because I get to work with awesome people every day, both online and in real life. Plus, I once danced with Wilson Pickett to ""Mustang Sally"." So basically, I'm awesome by association.

2. Why is RevolutionSF so awesome?

We're smart, funny people who own our geekiness, but are not owned by it.

3. Green Lantern or Thor?

Green Lantern, I guess. But I'd much prefer Jenny Sparks and The Authority.

4. Favorite law of robotics:

A clever writer can always find a way around the laws (see Bester, Alfred, "Fondly Fahrenheit").

5. Favorite monkey:

Jayme Lynn Blaschke's smart-ass giant ape Prince Koindrindra in "Prince Koindrindra Escapes," from Cross Plains Universe".

6. Favorite Billy Idol song:

The Saturday Night Live parody of "Eyes Without A Face" called "The Wrong Voice For My Face."

7. Plug Something (by you or someone you love):

There's an organization called Donors Choose that allows teachers who can't get projects funded through their school districts to post them at Donors Choose. Anyone can search the site (by topic, by neediness of the school, by amount needed to complete the project, etc.), find a project that appeals to them, and donate whatever they can towards a specific project.

Once all of the money for the project has been collected, Donors Choose buys the requested equipment and sends it to the teacher. Everyone who donates to a project gets a thank you e-mail from the teacher; those who fund an entire project or donate at least $100 get a thank you packet from the class with pictures of the project and thank you notes from the kids. It's an amazing experience.

Mark Finn flexes his thews at The Cimmerian, SuperDave lurks at Destroy All Monsters", and Peggy skulks around Rampant Biblioholism.
