Trailer Probe : Moon

Trailer Probe reviews nerd-related trailers to see if they are worth wasting time when you should be working.

Moon

Dork disengagement level: This is not a documentary about showing people your butt.

Someone, please make a documentary about showing people your butt.

Geek explosion content: Sam Rockwell is an astronaut on a 3-year solo moon mission, and with 2 weeks to go, something bad happens.

Well, bad for Rockwell's character, but it looks pretty cool.

Kevin Spacey is the voice of the computer, and he's doing an impression of HAL-9000 from 2001.

The whole thing looks like Alien, with a dash of Peter Schilling's "Major Tom (Coming Home)".

The director is the son of David Bowie, who did "Space Oddity," which "Coming Home" references. This must be good, because everything produced by David Bowie rules.

Geek explosion level: 800,000 geek parts per million.
