Trailer Probe helps you decide how many times you should see the next Batman movie. Geek explosion content is good parts, dork disengagement level is bad parts, geek parts per million is total nerdy enjoyment.

The Dark Knight Rises

Dork disengagement level: This is no trailer! It's a best-of Batman movie montage! Oh, wait, there's the trailer.

"Every journey has an end." NO. We must rise up and refuse to allow the people making these Batman movies to stop making them.

Is he sitting in the hospital room in full costume? Or does the Commish know Bruce is Batman? I want answers, mister!

There are about 30 seconds of new Bat-scenes. This trailer needs to be about two hours longer.

Geek explosion content: Commissioner Gordon looks like he got shot in the butt.

Again we see Bane's back, like in this picture right here. And a little of his right side. It's too much! It's too much!

In the last moment of the trailer, it appears that Batman is running in place. He appears to be challenging Bane to a dance contest.

That would be awesome.

Geek parts per billion: 900,000.

What number appears here?

Clearly mistitled. Should be "The Dark Knight Steps Up".
