Avengers Movies: The RevolutionSF Reviews

RevolutionSF has been waiting on The Avengers movie since before there was one. We watched the Marvel movies that led to this big one. Here are our correct opinions about them all.

This guide rates the sheer awesomeness of each movie with Anthony Hopkins as Thor's big papa, Odin. The more smiling visages of the mighty All-Father, the better.

We begin with the Avengers movie, so recently delivered unto us. Then we go back, back in time, when an Avengers movie was something we drew on the walls in our caves.

Captain America TV-Movies (1979)

"You shoot him on sight! He's probably going to try to jump your jeeps!"

Captain America (1991)

Two can travel as cheaply as one -- you sick bastard!"

Nick Fury: Hasselhoff Style (1998)

"That's the problem with the Third Reich. No sense of humor."

Hulk: Nick Nolte Cable Biting Version

"Sleep, Bruce, and dream forever. Struggle no more. And give me all of your power."

Hulk: Ed Norton version

"Don't make me hungry. You wouldn't like me when I'm hungry."

Iron Man

"Let's face it. This is not the worst thing you've caught me doing."

Iron Man 2

"It's called being a bad-ass."

Captain America

"I thought he'd be taller."

Thor

"What? He was freaking me out."

Bonus Avenging

In our goal of full-saturation nerd coverage, we got a second opinion of the Cap movie, and we compared the merits of the Cap movie vs. the Thor movie.

Check out this review of the super-neat Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon.

Avengers Assembled is a very funny live-action Avengers sitcom.

Fun quotes from the Avengers movie actors.

While you're in an Avenging mood, we suggest you buy ASSEMBLED! and ASSEMBLED 2, superhero commentary books edited by Van Allen Plexico and featuring stories by RevSF's Joe Crowe.
