What the Filk?!

Have you ever wanted to write fiction in your favorite sci-fi genre, like science fiction, fantasy, or horror, but you don’t have the time, the energy, or the ability? Fret not, busy, lethargic, talentless friends. We have SASS for you.

That’s Short Attention Span Sci-Fi. (AATA — acronyms are totally awesome!) Three sentences is all anyone really needs for a compelling tale. And that’s all you’re getting. So check out the topic, and give RevolutionSF some SASS. In return, we’ll give SASS to everyone else.

How Do I Play?

We give you a topic of sci-fi-ish interest, whether it’s science fiction, fantasy, horror, superheroes, or something else. We’re not label goobs here.

Your job is to write a story based on that topic complete in three (3) sentences. Not two. Not four. Not the first in a 17-part trilogy.

Three.

And none of those page-long sentences full of semicolons and conjunctions, Mr. or Mrs. English Composition 101. We know your tricks.

We’d like the funny and the amusing, but if you’re not funny, then just do your thing, baby. All we want is some sweet sci-fi. Three sentences’ worth. Oh yeah.

What'll You Give Me If I Do?

The satisfaction of finishing a complete work of genre fiction. Sure, it’s only three sentences. But do you know anyone else who can finish three sentences of good sci-fi? Neither do we. So we’ll give you free books or other swag, too.
